You know the moment: viewing arranged, callback promised, price discussed – and then the next phone rings. The note in Propstack would have taken three lines. It gets written in the evening, if at all.
That is not a question of discipline. It is a question of how many steps sit between hanging up and a finished entry: switch window, find contact, create activity, pick a type, type, save. Six steps for three lines.
What changes
You hang up. The Webex sidebar shows the contact you were just speaking to – and underneath it an empty field. You write your three lines and hit save. The note is in Propstack, on the right contact, in the right category.
- You hang upin Webex
- The field is already therewith the right contact
- You write three linesand save
- Propstackentry on the contact, with your name
The name underneath is yours
Four weeks later a colleague looks in the contact for exactly those three lines – and for the name beside them. Who can I ask? That question decides whether a note has value or merely takes up space.
With us, everyone writes with their own access. So the entry carries the name of the person who made the call, not the name of the colleague who set the connector up. In an office with three agents, that is the difference between a history and a shared folder.
And the caller is there before you pick up
The same sidebar shows who is calling while it rings: name, company, customer number – from your Propstack, not from a directory. You no longer answer with "hello?", you answer with the name.
What you do not have to do
- Install nothing. The workstations stay as they are – there is no program anyone has to roll out.
- Hand over no data. Your customer base stays in Propstack. The query happens at the moment of the call; no copy is created at our end.
- Run no project. Connect once, then two fields per employee. After that it runs.
- Commit to nothing. Write-back is a tick. Remove it and you are back to plain caller recognition – and lose nothing that was already written.
Even the calls nobody writes about
If you want, every conversation produces an entry – with time, direction and duration, even when nobody noted anything. The contact then shows how often and how long you have already spoken, before a brochure ever went out. That is a second tick, and it is your decision.
Four hurdles that are normal – and that fall away here
A phone link to Propstack is nothing new; several providers offer one, and they can all recognise the caller. What is interesting is what they leave open – four things that matter more day to day than a fifth feature.
| The question | How it is usually answered | With us |
|---|---|---|
| What happens when you change phone system? | The connector belongs to the phone system – it goes with it. | The connector is yours. It hangs on your CRM, not on your telephony provider. |
| Does something have to go onto the computers? | Often yes: an app per workstation, or an add-on someone has to roll out and maintain. | Nothing. What you see runs in the Webex client you have open anyway. |
| Where do you write the note? | In the CRM – that is, right after the switch of systems that so often leaves it unwritten. | Where you already were. The field is right there, with the correct contact. |
| Who did the talking? | Hardly any description says anything about it. | Everyone writes with their own access. The name under the entry is yours. |
And a fifth that is rarely asked: what if your data does not sit in Propstack alone? Many offices also keep a mailbox full of contacts or a second application. When the phone rings we ask several systems in turn – the first hit wins. A connector that knows only one system leaves the rest in the dark.
How to start
- Connect Propstackonce, by management
- Store your accesseach person, two fields
- Make callsthe rest happens by itself
One thing we say out loud, because the promise hangs on it: that the note carries your name depends on Propstack issuing keys per user. Our connector writes with the key of the person who made the call – how Propstack signs the entry in the end is Propstack's decision. Ask about it for your account; we only claim what we can show.
Frequently asked questions
How do I log a call in Propstack?
You hang up, write two sentences into the field that appears in Webex, and hit save. The note is on the contact. You never opened Propstack.
Whose name appears on the note?
The name of the person who made the call. Everyone writes with their own access – there is no shared account under which everybody looks the same.
How much of my time does setup cost?
An afternoon for nobody. Your management connects the office once, then each employee stores their key – two fields. Nothing is installed on the computers.
Do I see the caller before I pick up?
Yes. Name, company and customer number are in the Webex sidebar while it is still ringing – measured at around 250 milliseconds after the first tone.
Is my customer data copied?
No. The query and the note both go to your Propstack, at the moment of the call. No copy of your data is created at our end – and no software sits on your workstations.
Can I switch it off again?
At any time, with one tick. The connector then only reads, and the note field disappears. Nothing already in Propstack is touched.
